Well the highlight of VRML98, as in past years, is DEMO NIGHT!
Official known as the VRML98 DemoSIG, and sponsored by Sony, Microsoft,
and WhoWhere? it's an amazing evening.
The VRML Symposium, for those not lucky enough to have gone, has one
of the most ruthless, entertaining and effective events in the entire industry.
Presenters show their stuff, their technical products or art or whatever
other VRML worlds of note, and with a 1 to 5 minute timer counting down
on the video screen....perform their demos. This is truly DEMO OR DIE.
It's a model for the industry. Sony video taped the evening and at some
point in the future we might be able to relive the night with those tapes.
For pictures from the night check out the picture
page.
Following are the names of the presenters with their URLs. These are mostly from the nice brochure handed out at the conference put together by Timothy Childs the evening's Chaos Wrangler....enjoy :-)
